Ctrl Cloud Setup
First Login
- Open your web browser and navigate to the Ctrl Cloud URL provided on your Ctrl Cloud info card. For example:
https://yourname.ctrlsync.net:10001 - Enter the default username and password supplied with your device.
- Click Log in.
Tip: If you see a security warning about the certificate, ensure your using https:// for the website not http://
Changing Your Password
- Once logged in, locate your profile icon in the top-right corner of the interface and click it.
- Select Settings from the dropdown menu.
- In the left sidebar, click on Security.
- Under the Password section, enter your current password, then type your new password twice to confirm it.
- Click Change password or Save to apply the change.
Security Tip: Use a strong password combining letters, numbers, and special characters for better protection.
Connecting Your Devices
To sync your files and calendars across your devices, install the official Nextcloud apps:

Mobile Apps:
Available for Android and iOS devices. Download from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
Setting up the client apps
- Open the Nextcloud app on your device.
- Enter your Ctrl Cloud URL (e.g.,
https://yourname.ctrlsync.net). - Log in using your username and updated password.
- Choose which folders or data to sync.
Basic Usage
- Upload and organize: Drag and drop files via the web interface or save them directly on synced folders on your devices.
- Sharing: Share files and folders securely with others by generating share links or inviting users.
- Apps: Use Nextcloud’s built-in apps such as Calendar, Contacts, Tasks, and Notes to manage your data in one place.
- Notifications: Stay updated with notifications for shared file changes, comments, and app alerts.
